Our trip to Hershey, PA was the event of a lifetime for our family. You see, with four children and being a one-income family, traveling is just not in our budget. Sure, we try to go camping every summer and we usually spend a night in a hotel in Maine sometime during the winter, but the standard (& expensive) trips that many families take to Disney World and the Grand Canyon are simply out of our reach. The kids don’t complain; they seem to understand the unspoken words of our financial situation. They are grateful for our day trips to the beach, Canobie Lake Park and such.
This is what makes our 8 hour trip to Hershey all the more exciting! We had never traveled so far together before and the opportunity may never present itself again. Each and every moment of this vacation was a new and exciting adventure to be relished and savored.
Thanks to photographs like this one, we will be able to keep the fond memories of our 2004 vacation fresh in our minds and hearts.
