We've come full circle. :(

I have always scratched my head when people say they have come full circle. I mean, really, who wants to end up right where they started? Well, sadly, I am here to share that we have come full circle. Last year Scott went back to work the day after Memorial Day and was fired. Today, Scott went back to work and was fired. THAT is full circle. *sigh* I truly don't understand why. Anyone who knows him knows he is an extremely hard worker. He is an amazing chef, loyal to a fault, creative and dedicated. Soooo... if you happen to know of any restaurants in the greater Boston area looking for a mighty fine chef, please let me know, ok?

As Scott hits the pavement looking for work (and I worry myself silly about mortgage payments, health insurance and other such things), I will be working full time at Oak Designs and amping up my designing to try to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table. I am also listing several Longaberger baskets and paper scrapping supplies on eBay, so please check them out here if you have a chance!

A few prayers wouldn't hurt either...

Things are still as hectic as ever around here! Baseball and softball have pretty much consumed my evenings and weekends. It seems like I have had hardly a moment to catch my breath! I am hangin' on... just one more month until summer break!

In other news, I got a hair cut... a big one! I had like 5 inches cut off and major layers added! It feels so weird because my ponytail this morning is SO short! It was really time for change, though. My hair had been styleless for way too long!

Last night was the open house at Oak Designs. Everything came together perfectly! I was the photographer for the evening... can't wait to get all the pics downloaded!

Catchin' up!

Yeeeeeeeeeee dawg, feels like I haven't posted in forever! It has been such a whirlwind of activity!

First of all, we had a power outage yet again on a sunny day and it messed with my Photoshop. It would start to load and just as it would get ready to completely open, it would blip out and close. I was BEYOND frustrated. I tried rebooting several times. I uninstalled PS and reinstalled more than once. I bought a new program to try to fix any stray problems on my computer. I cleared cookies. I even had the tech from work to my house. Nothing worked. Then I started searching the net with odd key words about the problem and ended up on a site with a forum post from 2004 and found the cure to what ailed my Photoshop! It felt SO good to dust off that program and get things running again tonight! I got right to work with the new collaboration kit from The Lilypad and scrapped these pics from Nicole's trip to Hawaii.


In other weekend news... I didn't know what busy was until these kiddos of mine started softball and baseball. Their schedules conflict like crazy and with Scott working all the time, I am in a pickle. Thank God for other wonderful parents willing to grab a kid of mine to or from a game!

Dylan's first communion was this weekend as well! He looked so cute in his slacks and pressed shirt- he even wore a tie that he picked out himself! Layouts to come soon, I promise!

Gotta give a shout out to my girl, Krista! Congrats to her & Doug on their ENGAGEMENT! It's so hard to believe that the little middle schooler who started watching my kids a few short years ago (ok, ok, so almost a decade) is going to be a wife and step-Mom! Sure makes me feel old!
