So many things, so little time...

I can't even remember the last time I posted! Yeah, yeah, I know, I could just bring up the window and take a looksie at the post below, but I have the blogger entry page open right now so that simply isnt going to happen! Hopefully I won't duplicate anything! LOL

I made my big debut at NDISB this week! I am so excited to be working with Theresa and Anita and all the other amazing designers! :)

I am making my debut at another store next week! Care to make a guess as to where it might be?

Took the kids to Pizza Hut for dinner tonight. It was night to hang with them gabbing about nothing! Nicole text messaged us a few pics from Hawaii! I can't wait to hear all about the trip!

Saturday Randomness

1. Thanks to Scrap Artist for the free kit! I was selected as Feature Friday Layout of the Week! Isn't that fun? It's easy to make great layouts using such amazing kits!!
2. Today's plan includes hopping off this computer and doing some cleaning! This house is like a trash pit.
3. Dylan is STILL sick. Took his temp last night because he was moaning in his sleep and it was at 102.5! Grrrr... looks like a trip the doctor may be in order for Monday!
4. Victoria is back from Washington DC. If her text messages are any indication of the trip, we learned that a.) she gets sea sick on boats (even ones that stay at the dock). b.) She doesnt like to do a lot of walking. c.) The Smithsonian is boring except for a bat. d.) she likes Panda bears. My favorite text message came Tuesday night, though, and simply said "Mommy, I miss you". (Yes, she still calls me Mommy, LOL)
5. Softball and baseball are well underway and they are just as time consuming as I imagined they might be when I said "No, why dont you just play soccer?" all those years. Hopefully the kids will be good at it. So far, so good!
6. I am NOT avoiding any of my real life friends. I am just super busy, trying to keep my head above water with all I need to get done.

More crazy weather!

This picture was taken at the end of my road just before it was closed. It remains closed at this time with a car submerged. You can read that whole story here. School is closed today, but I will be searching my way to work somewhere among the flooded and closed roads. Crazy! If this isn't the result of global warming at it's finest, I simply don't know what is!

ACDSee

At some point a while back, I downloaded ACDSee... or maybe it came with my camera software? Anyway, I noticed that it changed the way my icons looked and in an effort to "clean up" my computer and remove some of the 95038976893264518923 photo editing and scanning programs I had, I uninstalled it. Well, this week, I added it back! With some help from the amazing girls at DigiScrapInfo, I am well on my way to organizing my MASSIVE digital supply collection! Dane is finally feeling somewhat normal. He is still coughing and tires easily, but his fever is low grade and he seems more like his old self. Thank goodness for that since DYLAN spiked a fever of 104 yesterday! *sigh* Will the madness ever end??? I feel like I need to open the windows and let all the germs out but since we are currently receiving more SNOW (and sleet and rain), that's probably not a good idea right now.

One gassy day!

Yesterday was one gassy day! I woke to an email from Amy Martin inviting me to be on her Creative Team. I was BESIDE MYSELF with excitmenet. I mean, come on now... when I sent in my application, I knew it was a long shot..... THE Amy Martin, queen of all things cool? I was stunned to get the nod and will do my very best to make sure her goodies shine! So, after starting to really comprehend that piece of good news, I got an email from Miss Huni Buni... Dawn Stocstill herself... I was chosen for one of 3 guest spots on her CT for April and May! I had to pinch myself several times to believe it! Here is a layout I did this morning using goodies from both fabulous ladies!

Yes, that's right- I scrapped this morning. I should have been at work, but Dane was home sick again. He definitely must have what I had because his illness is lingering on just as mine has. My boss is being cool and says she understands but I know she must be frustrated. First I was sick, then we had the spring snow, now Dane is sick... and guess what... more snow is expected Thursday! *sigh* I guess I will just have to accept that some things are out of my control.

Happy Easter + Planet Earth!

Happy Easter! Hope your day was wonderful! This is the only picture of me from the egg coloring "event" on Saturday! I created my egg and realized it looked like Planet Earth, so despite the bad hair day, I just had to have my picture taken!

I have been meaning to blog about our planet for a couple weeks now, but life just kept getting in the way! Have you seen An Inconvenient Truth? I HIGHLY recommend it. I was never an Al Gore fan but I have a new respect for him after watching this movie and realizing what a commitment he has to our planet and the generations of the (not so distant) future! I sat captivated by the statistics and photos throughout the movie. I kept thinking "How did I not know this for so long?"... I wish someone had shown me the potential impact of global warming sooner, so I am trying to do my part to share with you!

Tales from the other side of a spring snow!

I woke yesterday to find we have 10 inches of snow, no power and the kids had no school. So much for a productive day off, LOL The power remained out until after 2pm and even then we had no cable, internet or phone! The snow was such a heavy wet snow it took out power lines across the state to 80,000 people! Holy smokes! The kids and I spent most of the day at Megan's friend's house then came home to shiver in our 60 degree house.

Today Dane has a fever and is feeling sick so he is home from school. I had to go into work for about an hour and a half to do some printing of stuff I needed to take home. Ugh. I guess its gonna be one of THOSE weekends.

Midnight Musings!

Yes, thats right... it's midnight and I am still up and online. Scott *just* called and is finally on his way home. I dont know why since he just has to turn around and make the hour+ trek back, but hey!? Who am I to say he can't sleep in his own bed just because he works too many hours? LOL

So, where to begin? My head is SWIMMING with things right now... to-do lists, ideas, and quite honestly, a tiny little touch of vanity. Yeah, thats right.... I am feeling a little vain tonight. [I think this song is about me.] Its certainly not because of that thing on my nose from being sick (rotfl), but because I am amazed at how much I was able to accomplish in the past 2 weeks. I finished a BIG HUGE GIANT project tonight that has been ongoing for well over a month. I have created 2 mini albums for Val, 1 for Fee, 1 for Heather, NUMEROUS products for Scrapquick.com and even some new Chick Clicks templates along the way! All that and I managed to keep up with the laundry, work, be SEVERELY sick and cart the kids around. Darn, I am GOOOOOOD! ;)

So, I have some pretty fun guest gigs going on this month! Shawna asked me to stay on for one more month... Genevieve Sass from OScraps asked me to be on her team for April and I will also be working with Teresa Ferguson from Sweet Shoppe this month, too! Now that is one rockin' party, wouldn't ya say?

Oh, and in the land of ENORMOUS toots, Kate Hadfield asked me to stay on as an official team member. [Are you freakin kidding me?????????????] I didnt even have to think for a split second.... I was saying yes and yelling as I read the email. That girl can rock the doodles like nobody's business and her team is simply the craziest group out there... in reality they are probably closest to what my "real life" friends are like!
